Aaron Frankruyter - Make-up Artist

Although Aaron has long held an interest in makeup, he had originally set out to be involved in the criminal justice system. Graduating from Carleton University, Class of 2008, he received his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Law with a Minor in History and decided to further his aspirations by attending law school. However, shortly after being awarded his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2011, changing life circumstances left him seeking a new course for his future. He started attending Mohawk College in 2013, and very quickly the Theatrical Makeup and Special Effects classes he took there reignited his passion. He soon enrolled as a full-time student, and this October he graduated from Mohawk with the Class of 2015, obtaining his Honours certification in Makeup Artistry, Aesthetics, and Applied Cosmetics.

Whether making people feel beautiful or look horrifying, Aaron enjoys doing makeup of all types. From glamour to gore, he loves any job that allows him to use his creativity to bring the vision of the production to life. Currently, he is involved in several independent projects and is performing duties as a freelance makeup artist throughout South-Western Ontario; he wishes to someday expand into a small studio with a few likeminded artists.
